Unlock Your Potential with Mind Body Connections, LLC

Board Certified Neurofeedback Provider

18 Years of Experience Providing Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback therapy is a noninvasive procedure that measures a client's brainwaves and provides the client with real-time feedback about how the brain is functioning. Neurofeedback is used to help teach self-control over brain functions by indicating to clients how their brains react to certain triggers. Over time, patients learn to recognize when their brain is in a certain state. Then, they can learn to recreate the desired state, such as relaxation, or avoid undesired states, such as agitation, in their daily lives.

Neurofeedback Benefits

  • Enhanced focus, concentration, and attention
  • Improved memory and recall
  • Increased processing speed and reaction time
  • Ability to identify and manage negative emotions, such as anger and frustration
  • Increased self-awareness and emotional regulation
  • Reduced impulsivity and reactivity

QEEG Mapping

Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG)  brain mapping provides a noninvasive window into brain functioning to identity the source of symptoms of brain dysregulation.  Mapping enables clinician's to seek appropriate interventions  tailored to your specific brain activity patterns helping to reduce anxiety and insomnia.

In office, I provide Zscore, Amplitude, Infra Slow Frequency neurofeedback and Hemoencephalography (HEG) biofeedback.

Neurofeedback has been beneficial for many symptoms associated with but not limited to:

  1. Improved Focus and Attention: Neurofeedback is often used to help those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) by training the brain to improve attention and reduce impulsivity.
  2. Reduced Anxiety: It can help reduce symptoms of anxiety by training the brain to regulate overactive areas associated with stress and tension.
  3. Enhanced Sleep: Neurofeedback can improve sleep patterns by promoting more stable and restful brain activity, especially in individuals dealing with insomnia.
  4. Better Emotional Regulation: It helps with emotional control by training the brain to respond more appropriately to emotional stimuli.
  5. Improved Cognitive Performance: Some people report better memory, mental clarity, and problem-solving abilities after neurofeedback.
  6. Reduced Symptoms of PTSD: Neurofeedback has been used to help those with PTSD by regulating the brain’s response to trauma-related stress.
  7. Decreased Depression: It can help in reducing symptoms of depression by balancing brain wave patterns that may contribute to mood disorders.
  8. Addiction Recovery Support: Neurofeedback can be part of addiction recovery programs, helping to regulate brain function and reduce cravings.

Overall, neurofeedback is a non-invasive way to help the brain function more efficiently, often with fewer side effects than medication-based treatments.

Neurofeedback is offered in office as well as remotely.

Efficacy of neurofeedback treatment in ADHD: the effects on inattention, impulsivity & hyperactivity

In line with the AAPB and ISNR guidelines for rating clinical efficacy, we conclude that neurofeedback treatment for ADHD can be considered "Efficacious and Specific" (Level 5) with a large ES for inattention and impulsivity and a medium ES for hyperactivity.

Efficacy of neurofeedback treatment in ADHD: the effects on inattention, impulsivity & hyperactivity

Neurofeedback participants made more prompt and greater improvements in ADHD symptoms, which were sustained at the 6-month follow-up, than did CT participants or those in the control group. This finding suggests that neurofeedback is a promising attention training treatment for children with ADHD.
